Terms of Service

Effective date: August 4, 2026

1. The service

LimiFile provides browser-based image processing tools. No account is required to use LimiFile. Supported browsers, devices, and image formats are limited — not every combination is supported.

2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions for any image you process with LimiFile. Review the output before relying on it. Keep a backup of your original files. Deciding whether it's appropriate to process a sensitive image with LimiFile is your own responsibility.

3. Prohibited uses

When using LimiFile, please do not:

4. Functional limitations

LimiFile does not guarantee that output will always reach a specified target size. LimiFile does not guarantee that quality, color, transparency, dimensions, or metadata will always turn out exactly as intended. Processing can fail depending on your browser, OS, device, or the image data itself. Some formats — such as animated WebP and APNG — are outside the tools' supported scope. The metadata-removal feature has limits in what it targets and how it's implemented. HEIC conversion is not a dedicated, complete personal-information-removal feature.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

LimiFile is provided "as is." We do not warrant its accuracy, completeness, continued availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing here is intended to exclude warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

6. Limitation of liability

You are responsible for backing up important images and reviewing results. To the extent permitted by applicable law, LimiFile limits its liability for damages related to your use or inability to use the service. This is not intended to exclude liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Changes and discontinuation

Features may change or be discontinued. Continued availability is not guaranteed.

8. Intellectual property and open source

Rights to the LimiFile name, its UI, and its original code are not waived, except where explicitly licensed. Open-source components included in LimiFile are governed by their own individual licenses — see the open source license list. This does not mean the entire LimiFile repository is open source.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as needed. The update date is shown on this page.
